IWBFD Books is our publishing imprint. Every book we make asks the same question: when a city faces its ending — decline, disaster, disappearance — what story will carry it into its next life?

It began with Sim Eternal City: A Framework for Future City Storytelling — a methodology for reading any city as a living story, and for writing its future before it arrives.

This year, the framework meets its first city: New York. A storytelling book about the city where every ending has always been a beginning. And from next year, one city at a time, we go further — a series of city storytelling books, each one a portrait of a place learning to live forever.
