IWBFD's founder and the first talent, Paul Kang, is bringing two newsletters to bcd-W Magazine — together they ask one question from two directions: how do cities actually change, and who changes them?
Brands change the city
The first is a series built on a simple, deliberately un-ESG idea: that a brand can genuinely change a city — not by publishing a sustainability report, but by making something real happen on the ground.
Its lens is "One City, One Story, Many Views": one city, one representative brand, and the change it actually set in motion, seen from several angles at once.
The future city, every week
The second is Sim Eternal City, a weekly future-city storytelling newsletter. Where the brand series reads the city as it is, Sim Eternal City imagines the city as it could be — new civilizations, emerging urban models, and the relationship between people, technology, and the cities not yet built.
A new attempt in bcd-W Current Weekly
The brand-and-city work is being prepared as a new attempt inside bcd-W Current Weekly. The first pilot takes New York and Shake Shack — the burger stand a city built to bring a neglected park back to life — and tells that single change from four points of view: the park, the founder, the map, and the next corner.
Two examples, published on bcd-W: The Burger New York Built to Save a Park (English) · Korean edition

The through-line across both newsletters is the line Paul keeps returning to: Brand Change your city.
