Future New York Storytelling: Sim Eternal City × No Stone Tombstone — May 18 at Cafe Here, Red Hook

New York is slowly changing beneath rising tides. This is not just a loss of land — it is a loss of memory, and a loss of belonging. On Monday, May 18, IWBFD Storytelling Studios will gather friends, collaborators, and neighbors at Cafe Here in Red Hook, Brooklyn, for an evening of storytelling and reimagining the future we will grow into.

Presented as part of the New York Design Festival 2026 (NYCxDesign), the evening centers two works from the IWBFD Storytelling Studios universe: Sim Eternal City — a framework where Land Cities and Floating Cities coexist, and where elders remain active participants in the life of the city — and No Stone Tombstone, a new vision for memory, legacy, and space, set in Red Hook itself.

A Future We Will Grow Into

IWBFD Storytelling Studios — short for I Was Born For Death — builds stories around a single conviction: every ending is proof of a new birth, and the beginning of abundant coexistence. Sim Eternal City and No Stone Tombstone are two expressions of that conviction, translated into the particular geography of New York — a coastal city thinking about what kind of city it wants to grow old inside.
