IWBFD Studios' Paul Kang Named a Fall 2026 Industry Advisor at Cornell Tech

The founder and Talent of the IWBFD talent agency and project studio will mentor a Cornell Tech Studio student team on a real-world "How Might We" challenge this semester.

NEW YORK — August 1, 2026 — IWBFD Studios announced today that its founder and Talent, Paul Joseph Junhwan Kang, has been selected as an Industry Advisor for the Fall 2026 cohort of Cornell Tech Studio, the signature project-based curriculum at Cornell Tech, the graduate campus of Cornell University on Roosevelt Island in New York City.

Cornell Tech Studio is a required, immersive curriculum in which interdisciplinary student teams develop and test new products and businesses in collaboration with outside innovators.

In its core Product Studio course, teams take on real "How Might We" (HMW) challenges posed directly by partner companies and organizations, moving through a series of intensive studio sprints toward a final working product, narrative, and rationale.

Kang, who received word of the appointment while in East Asia, said he welcomed the chance to contribute to the local community in New York while opening connections to Cornell University and to global organizations and opportunities.

"I heard this news while I was in East Asia, and I am glad that I will be able to contribute to the local community in New York, and to connect with Cornell University and with global organizations and opportunities," said Kang, founder and Talent of IWBFD Studios. "It is an honor to be able to do future-city storytelling with Cornell's students in New York."

The appointment reflects IWBFD Studios' dual role as both a talent agency and a project studio. To create more opportunities for its talents, IWBFD has grown beyond representation into project-studio work — designing projects and services grounded in its talents' own expertise and intellectual property.
