You Have It Backwards: Death Is the Stable State

Imagine a person who lives forever.
For them, death never comes. They must stay awake endlessly, choose endlessly, endure endlessly.
You think death is the thing that breaks you. It isn’t. It’s the only state that can’t be broken.
Look at what living actually is. You hold yourself together by force, every second, without rest. Stop trying for one moment and you fall apart. That isn’t stability. That’s a tightrope.
Now imagine you could never get off it. Forever. No end, no release, no floor beneath you. That is not a gift. That is the most unstable thing there is.
You are the white tip on a black ocean. Small, bright, exposed, fighting to stay above the surface.
Death is the rest of the iceberg. The vast, still body you came from and go back to. It doesn’t tremble. It doesn’t try. It simply is.
Everything in the universe falls toward its lowest, calmest state. You are the one thing refusing to.
You are the unstable one.

The tip fights to stay up. The rest stopped fighting long ago.
